Construction of the road surface drainage system as part of the expansion works for the third lane of the Grande Raccordo Anulare motorway in Rome.
The project included the construction of two steel bridges serving the two carriageways, with a total length of approximately 360 meters and a central free span of 160 meters.
Drainage System
Objective: Disposal of rainwater collected from the road shoulder.
Solution:
- Water collection points installed on the bridge surface
- Conveyance into a main collector running along the entire span
- Collector made of PVC pipes ranging from Ø200 mm to Ø630 mm
Role of Easy Clip
Function: Connection of vertical downpipes from the road surface to the main collector
Installation Method:
1. Construction of the main collector in situ
2. Drilling under each downpipe
3. Connection using Easy Clip
